Job Vacancy for a Multi-skilled Plumber, Bathroom Fitter and Plumbers Mate

Direct Heating Installations is a Leeds based plumbing and heating business and we are looking for a multi-skilled plumber to join our busy and growing team.

Ideal Candidate Requirements

The ideal candidate must have an understanding and working knowledge of plumbing and heating systems. They must also be over the age of 21 and hold a full clean driving license for the use of company vehicles after a 3 month probation period.

Desirable Qualifications

An NVQ Level 2 Plumbing is great but not essential. We are also looking for someone who can assist with our bathroom fitting and heating installations teams. The ideal candidate must have good customer service skills, be smart in appearance and hard working. A can-do attitude is also a must as is being able to work within a team and individually.

We’re additionally looking for someone with good plumbing and heating knowledge, who is able to carry out first and second fix pipework. They must also be capable of basic first fix joinery (stud work) and using a wide range of power tools (chop saws to core drills). Bathroom fitting skills are also required such as plasterboarding and ply lining floors and tiling skills would also be helpful but this is not a necessity.

Lastly, the ideal candidate must be able to assist with boiler and heating installations. They must also be able to carry out basic bricklaying (patching in old balanced flue holes etc), plaster patching and generally assisting our Gas engineers on all kinds of installations.

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent.

Salary: £18,200.00 to £21,500.00 /year – negotiable on experience.

Driving Licence: Preferred – you will also have use of a company van after a 3 month probation period.
